The fewer times we remove our gas cap the more gas we will save. Gas evaporates at a rate of more than 147 millions of gallons each year. Many people do not let there gas tanks go below 3/4 of a tank or even 1/2 tank. When they fill their tank so often they are wasting gas. A car that is low on gas weighs less and takes less gas to move it. There is no harm in running low on gas there is only harm in running out of gas.

SMITTYBILT Rear Tailgate Cover G.E.A.R. 07-10 Jeep Wrangler JK in black RuKSEED PRODUCT REVIEW.

RukSPEED received this item in a plain box, which came with the tailgate cover, pouches, and mounting hardware. The instructions has pictures of the JK version but are for the TJ Wrangler so don’t be confused.
Decided to install a little differently then the instructions. First mounted the entire cover for fitment and checked where I wanted it. Then I started at the left hand top cover. Drilled the hole required and put the self tapping screw in. The left side is real thin metal and does not seal as much as I would have liked but maybe you can move it over to the right more to tap into thicker metal.
Then starting at the top I stretched out the top of the cover and drilled out each hole and screw in each self tapping screw one hole at a time until the top was straight and tight. There were parts of the top that did not stretch as good as I would have liked. Then I did the middle holes and attached them the same as the top. Then finished doing the bottom row.
When done I began to install the pouches. They are a little difficult to snap once you put each strap into the tailgate cover. Once snapped in place they are secure and the item looks well. There are only two pouches to install. The pouches have straps on them so if you want to take them off you can use the strap to carry the pouch around. I found I probably will not remove the pouches so I removed the straps and put them in storage.
The total installation was less than 1 hour and that was taking my time. It is an easy installation. With minimal tools required. Overall I was pleased with the item. It has remained tight and the screws have not come out. In hindsight I should have put some loc-tite into the screws. The pouches open easy and the zippers are large and easy to handle. I would recommend this product for extra storage and convenience. For me it was more to cover up the rear of my tailgate which was looking very beat up despite the vehicle not being that old.
We did not receive this product for free although we paid only a wholesale price for this item.
